Hello, maybe someone might be able to help me on my search. I bought a Gerber Mark 2 with the gray handle while stationed in Alaska, between 1971-73 with the US Coast Guard. It was lifted from me sometime later in the 70's as I recall. It would be easy to spot with my name & rate factory ingraved on it,maybe USCG also.I would be willing to pay the going rate for my Mark 2,around $400-$700 I am told,to recover my old knife, even to the person that lifted it,no questions ask! So if anyone can help me or know of a large Gerber collector or Vietnam era knife collector. Please let me know.I still have the Gerber Shorty and Pixie set with sheath I bought at the same time.A wonderfull and very usefull set. Thanks,Bill

This guy's collector's website has more Mark II information than I've ever found anywhere else, however chances of getting your particular Mark II back are worse than winning the DC Powerball Lottery unfortunately :) Main reason is that a Mark II from that time period is worth a boat load of cash on the collector's market.

Best of luck thought, also might want to keep an eye on ebay, I've seen a quite a lot of older Mark II's over the years on there.
