Help with a little more grip on the RTAK II

Hey guys,

I'd like to get a little more grip for my thumb on the spine of the RTAK II. I know I won't be putting my thumb there for heavy chopping, but for finer work I like to use my thumb on top.

I would prefer to avoid using the Dremel for this, but I don't know of any better way other than using firearm grip tape applied to the top metal of the blade.

Any other suggestions for me?

Filework? Use small detail files and create a design, as deep, shallow, aggressive or comfortable as you want. More control than a dremel.

Not a lot of ways to add grip without changing the knife permanently. Firearm grip tape/ skateboard tape might work for you.

Looks fine to me. When you're unsure of a steady hand with a power tool, but know what results you want, always revert to old school methods.
