Hello everyone,

I have a knife itch that I need to get rid of. I recently acquired my second paramilitary 2, and I like it, but its not scratching the knife itch I have. I got a benchmade 943 in the mail a couple of weeks ago and I love everything about it. It was my first metal (aluminum) handled knife, and everything about it is flawless IMO. I carry it in my pocket, it doesn't tear up my pants, it's quick and smooth, decent blade length, and great blade steel. The PM2 is a great blade, but I don't think it'll replace the 943 as an EDC. I don't really need a 'hard use' knife, and if I ever do, I'll just get a fixed blade like a rat 4. Looking around, and after having all the knives I've had, I think I tend to prefer metal handles rather than G10. I've got a fairly strong grip (I doubt the knife would slip out of my hand in a defensive situation), and I don't use my knives for hard use.

Knives I've had:
Kershaw blur
ZT0350 (i really liked this knife, but it was too fat for me. It was a little bigger than I'd like for EDC)
paramilitary 2
native FRN
bm 943 (my current EDC)
esee izula
rat 3
other cheap knives

I can't really afford to spend any more cash on knives right now with the ones I have (I have a pm2, native frn, kershaw blur still, none of which will get too much pocket time) so I was thinking about putting them up for trade and getting one of these knives. I guess I'm looking for 'nice' blades, or something just different:

bradley alias 2 (if I do get this knife, which I'm leaning towards, do you think it'll be a lot different from my 943, AND, can I do something similar to the handle?

spyderco street beat
snody custom blade
benchmade 960
spyderco p'kal

can you guys offer some opinions?
thanks in advance!!

I would say the Alias is a good choice especially since you want a metal handle (Ti is the way to go IMO). I think you would be happy with it. As to modifying the scale like that Sebenza, It can certainly be done with G10 or carbon fiber or even the stock Ti (although it'll be much more work). Good luck in your search!

I have an Alias 2 and 943 on the table and would say they share more differences than similarities. The only real similarities would be the weight, steel type, and overall thickness (which itself is a little hard to compare owing to the 943's contoured handle vs. the Alias' flat handle.) Differences include length, blade profile, blade finish, locking mechanism, titanium vs. aluminum, lanyard hole on the Alias, and left/right reversible pocket clip on the 943 vs. tip up/down reversible clip on the Alias. They're both great knives though personally I slightly prefer the Alias 2 because it feels a little more stout, a little more versatile, and has fewer moving parts. (Plus it really fits my small hands well.)

You've Never Owned A Delica? I Suggest That One Lol.
Or If You're Looking For A Little Higher End....
Get A Spyderco Sage 2.
7" Over All.. Not Quite As Fat As The ZT 0350 s30v Steel And A Titanium Framelock.
