Help with a Raven

I picked up a Raven on an auction site about 6 month's ago. When I received it the lockbar is not tight against the blade therefore causing a slight blade play and requiring NO effort to unlock (safety issue?). I love the Raven but am leary about using this one. I realize I did not buy this off of an authorized dealer and probably got a good deal on this knife because of this defect. I e-mailed EKI off of their web site about 2 weeks ago, inquiring about how to get this fixed, if at all possible, even paying for the fix due to my not buying it from an authorized dealer, but have received no response from them at all. Is this typical from EKI? Is there a fix I can perform myself? I don't want to give up on the knife as I really do like it, but I won't even try to trade or sell it because I don't want anyone else to end up with this same problem. HELP!

It takes a while to get a e-mail back. But they do reply.
Call up the factory, they will get you taken care of. Or just box it up and send it back with a note and your contact info.

Their turnaround time for repairs is absolutely outstanding I think its damn near same day, at the most 2-3 days from all reports.

As long as the knife hasent been abused, it should be at no charge. (Probably even if it has been abused)

Hope this helps,
Kyle
