My co-worker has this old Smith and Wesson folder. He has no idea how much it is worth or where to get another one. Any info would be appreciated.

Smith and wesson folders are generally cheap chinese made knives. I'd advise your friend to get a knew knife from benchmade, spyderco, kershaw, etc... Something thats a little bit better made.

Repost this in Bernard Levigne's forum, I seen old s&w's that were neither cheap nor Chinese.
There is no need to repost the same thing, when it can be moved easily by a moderator. That is an interesting knife. Bernard Levine could help properly and accurately ID that thing. His forum is here (for future reference).

I've got the same one, picked it up in the late seventies to early eighties. Way before they were imported models. I'm curious to it's value also.

its a Swing Blade Sport or something like that, there was another like it, that was double edged called Swing Boot Blade, you can find them on ebay from time to time

they are from the 70's or 80's i think they go for around 30-50$ used but dont quote me on that.

acually looking on the bay right now i see one for 115$ but i think thats crazy i saw one awhile ago BNIB go for around $100
a couple people make similar models today, A.G. Russel(think i spelt that wrong) Funny Folder, but i dunno the quality.

im trying to think who else makes a similar style, i saw one but cant remember where.

ETA upon searching i found this
