Ok,

I need some one smarter than me to help me find a way to carry my izula horizontally. The catch is that it needs to be ambidextrous. I'm looking to carry small of back and cross draw. I played with the para cord for an hour and gave up. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John

I've got one of those little plastic sheaths that came on my Izula and yea, I can see where your coming from.

Maxpedition makes a thing called a Tac Tie, its simply a fancier nylon strap and rings. In fact if you have a nylon strap and a couple of D rings your in business. If you have some leather skills you can build a belt loop to snap on.

A simple leather loop attached at the bottom holes would work great. On my to do list, got the vertical carry loops finished finally. Always something else to build.

So here was my solution. I looked at the leather but it didn't look right. I cut 2 nylon straps from an old backpack. I punched holes in them over the top running parallel. Then I cut them to length and ran the screws that came with the sheath. Now I can carry behind the back or cross draw.
