help with broad hatchet ID

hi. just looking for help to identify broad hatchet I picked up at a yard sale in manitoba. I recently re-handled it. it has a diamond with a capital E in middle and says warranted quality. doesn't fit the diamond edge logo.... but.?
it does have that beat on look to it for sure, but still pretty solid.

hoping to find maker and dates it could have been manufactured.
