Help with Camillus MC 1 Parachute knife

I have one of the orange handled Camillus MC 1 parachute knives that the button is stuck on. Does anyone know of anyone that can possibly repair this? Otherwise, the knife is almost in unissued condition, and I would like to get it fixed.

Are you sure that there is no trouble with the lock? The lock is to keep from opening the knife in your pocket.
 
You should be able to remove the button assembly entirely from the knife by pulling it out of the handle toward the rear of the knife. Reinserting it in the correct position under the window spring is a little tricky, but can be done easily with a little practice.
 
Make sure the safety isn't on first, same type of safety that Italian stilettos have.
There should be a tab of metal by the button that slides toward the hook, make sure that the tab is as far towards the hook as the groove in the handle allows,then press the button.
If this doesn't work, do what Mr. Gibbs said.
