I have decided to step it up a notch and go for a higher end knife then I'm used to buying. My highest end folders are; spyderco militarys90 and m4, the hest folder, zt 0200, and zt 0551 and benchmade rukas. Based on the info I read on this forum, I have narrowed it down to SR1, Acies, strider sng, Large Sebenza and possibly a Hinderer xm. I like the SR1's single frame concept and roto lock, I like the blade shape and steel on the Acies, the strider just looks cool and is built like a tank and the Sebenza is the classic that every collector should have and last the Hinderer appears to do everything well and you get an exotic steel.
On the negative side, the SR1 looks a bit bulky and the knife steel used is a little unknown to me and is not made in the USA, the Acies clip looks bizarre and is made by kershaw, the strider and Senbenza use s30 steel and ask a premium price for it and the Hinderer is hard to find and doesn't have the appeal as the others.
In a perfect world and suppose someday I will buy them all, but for now, I can only afford one. What do you guys think. Oh, I should mention how I will be using the knife. I would be using it as an EDC / duty knife or I may chicken out and safe queen it as a collector. All my knives are users but I have never spent 350 - 500 for a folder. I appriecate any positive feedback. Thanks.

Of the knives you listed I own a Strider SnG CC and a few Large Sebenzas. They have found themselves worthy of staying in my collection.

I feel of all the knives listed the Sebenza's high hollow grind makes the most ideal cutting tool for edc.

I find thinner blades that slice n' dice are most appropriate for my edc tasks. The Strider and Hinderers are beefy and I often find that I don't need the extra thickness they both provide.

Good luck!
Any of the knives listed are reputable and will attract fans.

I'd choose either a large Sebe with S35v or the Strider SnG at your price. I'd actually take the XM-18 over both of these but prices on the secondary market take it too the next price point ~$600. If your active duty, Leo/Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic order an XM directly from Hinderer for $395 and don't look back.
