I am not sure how to do a cord wrap, so could you help? The wrap worked fine intil I started the wrap through the lanyard hole and around the end of the handle. The lanyard hole isnt big enought to wrap it the way I have tried. What am I doing wrong?

Short answer is you need a "fid". Google search will give you ideas on how to make one. It's a tool for helping to poke rope and cord through tight holes.

I am using a stiching needle on the cord, and it will no longer go thru. not sure a fid would help[

You could try putting some wax on the cord, to maybe help it slide through. If you're planning to seal the handle with epoxy or similar thing when you're done, then adding friction reducers may cause problems later.

If you need to keep the cord clean for now, your only options are bigger hole, smaller cord, or a different wrapping method.
