help with custom questions

I am interested in a full on custom knife. I need some suggestions for makers who deal with full convex grinds like the Bark River Knives.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone that has a woods/fieldcraft/camp type knife in a convex by a custom maker and their experience in getting a full custom made just like they wanted.

What was your experience like? Was it difficult to get on the same page? How did you know you found the right maker?

I originally posted in general knife discussion, but it was moved to the custom makers area. I am not quite to making the plunge yet, so I thought this might be a better place to ask questions about the process and get some general advice.
