Help With Dating Case Tang Stamp

It looks like the tang used in the 80’s but it has no dots. They changed pattern in 1990. Any ideas?

1989 I believe based on the link below.

Click on the 1980-1989 stamp date range and hit "see all" and it shows all the options. Yours looks like It has one dot for 1989 (unless some dots are worn off)

It may just be worn down or wasn't imprinted real deep if you shine a light at it and hold it at different angles you may be able to see it better.

Hope it’s okay to jump in this tread. I’m having trouble with this stamp too. According to the link R Reconmarui posted the USA should have a lightning bolt S. What do you think?

Look at the 1993 to 1999 section and hit the "see all button" 5 dots should make this 1995. This is 2 spots to the right of where OP's tang stamp was on that link.

My problem isn't the date, but the stamp itself. My USA is rounded whereas the link you posted is a "lightning bolt "
EDIT: After some searching I found the answer. The USA with the lightning bolt S is for those knives with stainless steel. The rounded S (like mine) indicates CV.
