So I am stripping and polishing a Busse, and trying to get the dirty, dirty dimples off is quite a pain in the arse.

What do you guys prefer when putting a high polish on these sweet, sweet INFI? I have a Dremel of course and am not afraid of a little elbow grease if neccessary.

(keep this G-rated, I can hear PG and the other mods sneaking up on me with this thread title!!)

lots-o-elbow grease & start @ 80grit & work 1500 atleast

Which model? I used 60 grit on a rubber block and then followed up with the medium and fine scotch-brite drill atachments.

Gus,

Don't be afraid to go coarse to remove those dimples. I would start with 60grit, 120grit, 320grit, and then 600grit. Buy some spray on adhesive and just tape the whole sheet of sandpaper to a flat surface then grind away :D

I bought a rubber sanding block and they sell rectangular sheets the same size as the bottom of the block that have a sticky side to them. So you just peel the paper of the sandpaper and stick the sandpaper to the block and sand away. ;)

For non-powered applications, you will need a large flat hard surface and sand paper that you can use wet. Start with an aggressive grit (like Ban suggested) and work your way up, it just take time.
