Help with finding mattock/pick handle

New member here; thank you for letting me join.
Have exhausted local resources, am at wits' end on this one honestly.

2.5lb mattock/pick (purchased from Home Depot /ages/ ago); really attached to this tool, and of course all their new ones are fiberglass handles now. :-(

Seymour handle # 64944 appeared to fit when examined locally, but is only available in 28" - I need 36"

I called Seymour and hit another dead end, the representative cited eye measurements of that product as 2 1/4" x 5/8" - which is almost certainly incorrect for me.
My outer edge measurements referencing off the bottom of the steel indicate 2 3/4" x 1" as shown below.
The inside measurements appear to be only 1/16" under those, if that - the perspective in the pics make the inside look considerably smaller than actual.

I have uploaded two pics to my Dropbox, incl. a ruler for scale:

Edit: here are two more pics, better perspective:

Thank you for any possible assistance & best regards,

House Handle likely has one in the size you need. If the end diameter is too big, just rasp down to fit. In a worst case scenario you may be able to just use some Titebond III to splice on a little extra material to fill it.

Thank you, I didn't know about them. Browsed their products and found a very good match; I also emailed them & rec'd an insightful reply - looks to be excellent customer service. Thx,
