I had a Ka-Bar Mule that I carried. Black clip knife sat low in the pocket, very inconspicuous. I loved that knife, the handle was big and when that thing locked if it felt absolutely solid, didn't feel like a folder. The problem was that the blade was over the legal 3" max, so I gave it to a buddy of mine who's staring up in law enforcement and needed a folder.
So I just got myself a Kershaw Ken Onion Serrated Leek. I love the blade and the auto assist is neat. I don't have an issue with the blade steel, but the handle is just too damned tiny for my hands. And while it feels solid the locking mechanism leaves me less than confident about how secure it is.
So I need a folder with a clip, to carry in my pocket. I want it to be black so as to not be so conspicuous. I need it to have a blade length of 2-7/8ths to 3"s. And I need it to have a larger handle than the leek to better fit my large hands. I also want it to be pointy like the leek or a spear point or a tanto. I prefer partially serrated. And I want it to have a locking mechanism that is rock solid.
Anyway, I don't know much about knives per se, I just know what I need. I would appreciate if you guys could make some recommendations.
TIA
