Hello to all, I'v been try to find some replacement screws for the scales on one of my folders for some time and can't seem to find anything. So i'm reaching out to BF community for help or advice. Here's the deal
Knife: lone wolf T 3 with canvas micarta scales
From: the bay a few years ago, received it with missing screws.
I would be very interested in having someone doing costom work on it to fix the problem if anyone would be interested in doing that or know someone who would be. Anyway thanks for everyones time and any suggestions are welcome.

Have you tried to contact Benchmade?

Yeah i even sent them samples ( never to be seen again ) . They sent me back some random pocket clips with the attachment screws thet did fit at all they were very nice about it but didn't fix anything. This happened twice so i gave up. Seems like when they switched over companies parts for discontinued items got lost or tossed. Plus the one i have seems to be a very early model or possibly even a prototype because the blade shape is a little different.

To search for a screw, you need to describe it. Length, head shape, type of tool engagement, material, diameter, and thread pitch. It helps to have a caliper, a thread gauge, and a screw chart. US threads are often View attachment 706520 described with a wire size diameter (#2,#4,#6,etc.) and a thread spacing in TPI (threads per inch) 24, 30, 44, etc. Metric threads are often described by diameter in millimeters (mm) and DBT (distance between threads) in mm .75, .90, 1.10, etc.
Examples: 1/2"-#5X40TPI SS (stainless steel) hex recess cap screw. 50mm-0.8X4mm Zinc plated #6 TORX recess pan head screw.

Yeah pics would be super helpful... I may be able to help you out

Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction to get started. I do have a caliper but not a thraed gauge, I'll look in to picking one up. Thanks again

The other useful item is the Machinery's Handbook. They have tables of specifications that can help you figure the trade size by measuring the thread pitch and diameter. There are a couple of metric screws that are very close and pitch and diameter to SAE screws.

I have trouble posting pics here but if it will help get this blade back in commission I'll give it good try again. Thanks
You have to use an image hosting site like Photobucket. On mobile download the app, upload the pictures to PB select the image, then on the bottom left select the icon that is an "i" with a circle around it then copy the "direct" link. (Second one down)
Then come here with your link, and select the picture icon between the smiley face icon, and film roll icon above the text box. Paste the direct link and insert image.
Hope this helps, good luck
