R rifon2 Joined Oct 9, 2005 Messages 5,124 Feb 1, 2008 #2 Depends what you mean by "stress". L6 is, in fact, a tough steel. (Excellent flexibility and shock absorption characteristics.) Heat treat as always is important. There are Katana swords made of L6, if that info is helpful to you at all.
