Hi experts

I am hoping someone could shed some light on the knife in the photo? I was given this by my late granddad over 25+ years ago who was a commando in WWII. Whilst I don't believe it is a military knife, any background information, year of manufacture, it's use, etc would be really interesting.

It was made by Wilkinson sword. Has never really be taken out or used. The knife blade is around 7.5". On google images i did stumble across an article which I believe features my exact knife (the middle knife out the 5).

Any info would be gratefully received.

Wow she's a beauty I'd be proud to own it for sure. I hope someone has some information for you

I m sorry i do not have the information which you so desperately seek.
Your late grand father most certainly had great taste.
As a point of interest, in regards to the knives pictured in "the article"
(which btw is from an 80's issue of the now defunct UK "Combat & Survival" magazine?);
The second from the top is a Wilkinson RJH Jungle Knife, as mentioned below...

And the one at the bottom was said to have been designed by ray meers.

I am certain that a UK based knifenut would be able to help out better.

gymbo. I remember seeing that photo in a publication, but for the life of me I cannot remember which one. I had one of those Jungle Knives that GIRLYman wrote about. I also seem to remember that Wilkerson used some left over sword handles on that knife, trying to use up old stocks. Not a bad knife but like the MOD knife, the sheath was pretty poor. I gave that Jungle Fighter to a man on my A-Team who did not have a sheath knife, he carried it on all subsequent field problems. John
