Im interested in this lil feller but i cant find information about it. Other then its markings 'Carbon Ka-bar Chrome' and its resemblance to the Kabar Leather Handled Hunter.
About 8 inch (20 cm) overall length and 4 inch (10 cm) blade length.

Item name, specifications and user experience are more then welcome.

This knife appears in a 1947 magazine ad as model number 5205-C. The C stands for concave (hollow ground) and the price was $5.00. It isn't given a model name in the ad. Ad does state 'Hollow ground blades of high carbon steel" and "Extra heavy chrome plated".

Thanks Gunsil! Very useful info. Is it possible you could share that source.

Does the ''Extra heavy chrome plated" mean that its a carbon steel blade with a galvanized chrome coating?

Scan 79.jpg Yes it is a high carbon blade which has been electroplated in or with chromium. Electroplating is s a different process than galvanizing. I hope you can enlarge the enclosed scan of the original ad which is from a 1947 magazine although I do not know the name of the magazine.
