Welcome to BF.

The USMC Kabars should be made in Olean NY if I'm not mistaken. I would guess you have an imitation/knock off.

You know they say a picture is worth a 1,000 words.

There were some KaBar style knives made in Japan in the past.
They look like the same design, but have no connection to KaBar other than resembling them.

Keep in mind, we call them "Ka-bars" colloquially, but Ka-bar wasn't the only company to produce them for the military. I don't even think Ka-bar made the largest number of them.

WISH i had a camera!!!!!!!!!!! I do know Camillus also made this style knife. Looks to be well made with same dimensions as the US WW2 ones. Stacked leather handle etc. Didn't get a leather scabbard with it. Just never saw or heard of a Valor made in Japan.

Thanks Members!!!!!
