So I've been doing a lot of camping and field work in my off time. I've been using a cold steel srk and while it works there are a few things id want different. I have tried quite a few different blades over the years to name a few fallkniven f1 and s1 esee 4 standard kabar and sog seal pup. After use with them all I've come up with some criteria that I think will suit me well and was wondering if any of you could help me find a blade that fits the bill so here it goes.
Im looking for a blade roughly 4.5 to 6 inches
carbon steel
uncoated or easily removed coating
full tang
and a sharp 90 degree spine to strike my fire steel with
I am looking to spend 200 or less on this knife and a nice leather sheath would be a bonus but kydex it good too.
any help would be appreciated
Connor

I'll stick with my usual recommendation in this situation although I'll add another option:

EnZo Trapper (O1) - Sure its only 3.75" but that is an ideal length for outdoor activities.

EnZo Camper (D2) - This one is 5" and pretty much the same awesome quality as the above.

Both are under $200

They can be found at http://www.thompsonsknives.com/

Mora Bushcraft and spend the leftover money on some nice rain gear.

Hard to imagine the F1 didn't work out. I use a Mora but the F1 is my dream knife if I could afford it.

F1 might have been too small.

Just about any knife can be given a 90-spine to scrape a ferro-rod, though a lot of mora's are too soft for the purpose.

I too would recommend checking out the maker's section indicated above, best place to start

Production recommendations on the higher end: GSO-4.1 with a ferro-notch http://surviveknives.com/knives/potluck/factory-2nds.html
You can order a factory second without the kydex sheath if desired (but you're missing out on great quality) and get a leather sheath. The knife could be CPM-20CV stainless or CPM-3V semi-stainless, the tang is skeletonized for lighter weight and better balance, it's a great product at a low price for what you get  My only recommendation would be to grind off the flare at the heel of the handle for increased comfort. If you prefer an easier-to-sharpen steel, the SK-4 should be available again soon and it is cheaper, comes coated but it's not a hinderance in any way and helps reduce corrosion. If the GSO-4.1 is too small, try the GSO-5.1 or -5, though each are more expensive.

Another alternative is the Swamp Rat Rodent 4 available in my sig-line ;) It's coated but there's a section cut away for scraping a firesteel.
