Help with identification

Found these old scissors/shears at a garage sale today. Thought they were interesting especially with the stamp.
Can anyone help me identify what they were to be used for and where they may have been made.

I know this forum says scissors in the title, but I think Bernard Levines forum might be a better place for this. Lots of tool guys there and lots more traffic.

Bonsai or Ikebana shears (called Ikenobo, I believe). I think that's a popular style though I couldn't tell you anything about age or the maker. I'd put money on them being handmade by a Japanese blacksmith, though.
