A guy at the gym I know said he had a Benchmade for sale. The box is marked 520SBT Presidio Axis. When I look up that knife, it looks different then the one he has. Is anyone able to help me tell what it really is? In the one picture I have it beside a Mini Grip to give a size comparison. Thanks
Dave

Looks like Presidio Ultra grip panels. But...box indicates it's a serrated edge black blade--which it obviously ain't.

The later photos show it's a Mini Presidio Ultra.

Hmmm.... maybe a Benchmade 527 Mini-Presidio Ultra Pardue? If the blade length on it is 3 inches, that's my bet. Compared to the mini-grip in the photo, the blade doesn't look 1/2-inch longer to me, but it's hard to tell at those angles.

That's a BM 527 mini-Presidio Ultra. It has 440C blade steel instead of 154CM and it uses Noryl or grivory handle scales instead of aluminium. It's a current model. You can look up the prices on any knife seller's web site. Most everyone carries BM and they'll list the specs on the 527.

It's a nice knife, but it isn't what came in that box.

Thanks. Hopefully he just put it in the wrong box.

Thank you to everyone who responded.

Benchmade etches the first hierarchy of the model number under the butterfly logo on most of their knives. May help out in the future. See the little 527 under the USA on the butterfly?

Did not notice but that is a big help. Need a magnifying glass to read that.
