Photos Help with identifying Colonial knife?

Hello,

I'm looking for some information on a Colonial knife I inherited from my great-grandfather. According to my grandmother, he had gotten it from his father, or my great great grandfather. Its not really a question of value so much as just some general curiosity. The handle is about 3 1/4 inches long, the larger of the two blades is 2 3/4 inches and the smaller one is 1 1/2 inches. Both blades pivot on the same end of the knife. The larger blade reads, "COLONIAL-- PROV. USA" while the smaller one simply reads, "USA". The handle is white with some recessed brown markings, resembling a tree trunk. Any and all information you may have about this knife would be greatly appreciated. Pictures below.
