I bought this knife many years ago at an estate sale and have always wondered who made it. Others have mentioned Jack Mosher from Michigan but I have not been able to contact him for verification. It sure is a well made high quality knife that I love.
Hopefully some of you folks can ID it for me from the pictures I tried posting but I can't seem to get pictures from my computer to post. The blade has MOSHER on one side by the tang and 98 on the opposite side. It is 7" end to end with a black grip that appears to be carbon fiber. The tang is nicely fixed with very nice scroll work. Maybe being new will not allow me to insert pictures for a few posts.

Thank you HHM, Yup I used to have a photobucket hosting account until they got stupid and don't really want another host.

I graduated HS in 1970 and my first job was at the Schrade knife factory in Ellenville, NY. I worked there making the Old Timer and Uncle Henry knives until joining the USN during Vietnam. I've always loved nice sharps and amassed quite a collection from the company store and also from local yard sales since a lot of folks worked in the factory. Schrade made some really nice knives at the time and had very strict quality control. Lots of knives got tossed as being seconds and we could buy them cheap at the outlet but many were hard to even determine what made them seconds. Lots of history here and before the factory moved to Ellenville it was located near Walden NY and the knives had the Schrade Walden name.
I would still like to contact Jack Mosher to see if he did make the knife I have if anyone knows how to contact him.
