Hello all. I came across this on khukuri house regarding the Ganjuwal Swiss: "The different small working tools facilitate the user for different jungle tactics and warfare that makes the knife special".

Like what? Can anyone tell, thanks. :D

Welcome, Vildmark.

This one?

The tools are probably not as useful as a good swiss army knife....but are there for tradition's sake.

Himalayan-Imports makes a few with "bonus" tools. Hanuman and Berk Special come to mind....

And the tools are useful, too. I've grabbed my own Hanuman while doing any number of small tasks around the house. There's a tool that has a slight scooped end I've used to fish a small piece of a toy out of a delicate spot.

I believe the tools are for everyday chores, leather and clothing repair, rather than 'jungle warfare' Though naturally in the jungle you'll need to sew a button on as well as fight.

I believe that the tools would have useful to anyone back in the day. If you look back to our history in the states, people often only had what they could carry. A farriers multi-tool, or a possibles bag, or the exotica with a kuhk.
