Help with kabar mod

As you can see finished modding kabar short ..... Anyway if you look at the blood groove there is a brass mark (I think it is brass ). The gold mark from polishing it with this wheel ..... I know I was stupid anyway how do I get it off? And any tips on how to polish it up? Using sandpaper that is

I can't really see the blemish you are referring to (looking on my phone), but if I'm understanding you, I'd consider trying a very high grit sandpaper and working my way to a lower grit until it's gone. For example use 1000 grit, the if that doesn't work go to 500, and the 220, until you find the one that takes the blemish out and the work back up - 220 to 500 to 1000.

Kk I've tried that a ton but can't get the lil gold spot out on each side of the blood groove

Just put a decent patina over the top bud. Will add a bit of rust proofing to the blade as well as cover up said marks. Plus it's fun making a custom patina. Good luck bro..

If it is brass or copper than a damp patch or cotton ball with rifle bore cleaner, (I prefer hoppe's #9), applied to it and left sitting on it for about 10 minutes will remove it when you wipe it dry.

Yeah I was going to put a patina on it but wanted into be polished underneath I'm like that I guess do it right or don't do it at all

I know it doesn't reall matter and it will be covered up anyway
