Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and new to knife collecting in general. I inherited a large knife collection from my father-in-law and really have no idea what some of them are worth because some are custom, one of a kind knifes. Dick Faust is one of the custom ones I remember off hand. I was hoping to go to the Chesapeake Knife Show but I found out it is no longer being held. Does anyone know of a place where I can go to find out more? I am in Baltimore County, MD. Thanks for your help!

Spend a few bucks for a gold membership here and you will be allowed to ask for values. We have some incredibly knowledgeable people on here whether it's production or custom knives.

Be carefully, some appraisers will attempt to cherry pick you. Best place is fast internet search then a lot of time on sites like this. Ultimately you want to have them appraised, besides for insurance, so you can care for them!

BF has a wealth of knowledgeable people, go slow, get a lot of opionins. Pick out what you want after you understand the collection.
Sell off what you do not want add new ones.

Usually you get 80% from an auction site, or reseller.

Feebay is a good place to get a feel if the knives are easy to sell. If knives are rare it may take a while to find a buyer.

Go gold you get more respect! Ask questions and thicken your skin for bf!

Welcome to the forum.
I thought the Chesapeake Knife show was just this past weekend?
There are occasional gun or outdoors shows at the Timonium Fairgrounds. I wouldn't haul my collection there, but you may meet someone there who could give you an idea of values if you have pictures and descriptions.
Just a thought.
