Hey Guys,

I have a friend who bought this CR locally, and I was wondering if you all could place it in the history for him.

Thank you,

The knife in question is a One Piece Chris Reeve Mark V. The end cap is not original, the original is of the hex head configuration. The older One Piece had a blacker Gun Kote finish while the newer ones are more grey. The Mark V's I have seen had the hex end cap, some of them may have had the round, but you can see since it is a different Gun Kote color, its not the original one................It could be sent to CRK and be refinished for a small fee and it will look nearly new after CRK is done with it.

I can't say anything about the history but what I can say is that it looks so good in that "used" condition. Those scratches really set off that knife!

What does the number 220 represent?

Marion

Chris used to number all of his knives, especially the South African ones. I have seen numbered USA ones as well, including this one. The "220" signifies it was #220 of that model produced. The Mark V was made from 1986-1994. Awsome knife by the way, which I had one ! Your friend is a lucky guy.
