Help with Knife ID - Kat???

Hello to all,

My father passed away last summer and I'm in the process of selling his estate. More than 200 knives are available ... and I'm the one going through them.

I came across this one (see the photos). I can't find anything on it. The stamp on the blade is "Kat" and the rest is missing. Then "USA". Could it be a "Katz"?

Any help is appreciated.

More likely it is a KaBar, as it does not look like any Katz folder I have seen. Someone should be along who can tell you what model KaBar it is. John

Yes...I think you're right...what I thought was a "t" is the dash in the "Ka-b"
