I remember seeing a very neat knife, had one short but very stout looking
wharncliff blade and then a larger/longer main blade, slippys both blades.

kinda like my modified SAK's Electrican's knife, with out the cable stripping
arc ground in;

I think it had stag scales or possibly jigged bone, can't recall for sure.

appreciate the help, did a search for wharny's but didn't locate that particular image.

Thanks but not those, I think it was a custom slippy
stag or jigged bone scales too, I searched but couldn't
find the thread with the photo in it :(

Was it this one? I really liked the GEC, but it is smooth bone not stag or jigged.

No, sorry guys, not the one, pretty sure it was custom the more I think of it...
like a needle in a haystack!

There is a Case, Trapper maybe?, where the Spey was ground down to a short Wharncliffe and had the nail nick added. I first saw it some months ago but was recently posted with some othe knives in a thread within the last week. The added nail nick is a little rough looking, and the blade reminds me of a Seahorse whittler.
Could we be thinking about the same knife?

Found it. Turns out to be a Saddlehorn. Check out post #12

Nope, not the one, really appreciate you guys digging for this for me
it's a fairly short stubby blade but really stout looking I believe it was
a wharncliff or possibly a sheeps foot, I remember double bolsters and
I do think it was dark brown jigged bone scales...

Well, it may have been this one but I still don't think so;

Ken Coats Texas Jack

But the image stuck in my head may have been one of Ken Erickson's as his photography
strikes a memory cord in my brain...

I seem to remember the blade was at 90 and to the right, a close up cropped image
of the shorter blade...
