My IT guy at one of my jobs sent everybody an email, asking us to download a new security update for Internet Explorer onto our workstations that is supposed to fix a glitch that allows malicious websites access to our system. He gave us a link to the Microsoft Download Center to download a security update titled: "Security Update for Internet Explorer for Windows XP (KB960714)"
I clicked on the link he sent, clicked on the "download" button, and installed the update on my workstation, no problem. The IT guy also advised us to install it on our home systems as well, so I emailed myself the link to my home computer, got home, clicked the link and clicked on download, but all I get is the nasty old window that says, "The page cannot be displayed", with the usual other mumbo jumbo, like when you try to access a website when your internet is down, but of course, mine isn't down. What gives
Anybody know what's up? I imagine I could have a problem with my PC, but not sure what.
Any help???
Thanks,
Jon
