Help with my grandfather's old case x x

Does anybody know about an old case xx like this... My granddad gave it to me about. Twenty years ago... But other than that I can't seem to find any info... No tang markings only case x x x on blade near spine... I can't figure out how to post a pic... But it's about a eight inch fixed blade camp style knife... Woodhandle with three brass ppeened pins.. Blade has large angular grooves Almost like a file... With a slight drop point...case xx Stamped on left side of blade near top halfway down...

Whatever kind of device you have? There may be an app for that. Look for a picture/file sharing host. Prefreably one that is NOT porn related. You can use imgur.com, flickr, or any others. There are tutorials online on the "How To" part, search for it. In the mean time, searching here for...

The smaller ones were still used in kitchens as utility knives even after Julia Child had swept all before her with her French Chef knife.
