Help with my new Ontario

Today at the local gun show I bought what the vendor claimed was an Ontario combat knife that was used in vietnam, my only question is, is it what the vendor claims it to be? My concern is the lack of the steel the knife is made out of on the blade like my newer Ontario, pics to follow
