help with my next purchase

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and need a little help with my next knife. My first purchase was a SOG Trident tanto and I'm very happy with it so far. I'm stuck between the al mar sere and the spyderco police 3. Any other options I should be considering? I'm looking for manual or assisted open knives w/ a plain edge between 3 in. and the 4 3/8 IN. the police is. I am not interested in auto knives because they are illegal to carry in south Carolina. Thanks for any help or recommendations ahead of time!

Toss us a budget, but if you like assisted the Benchmade NEW Axis assisted fires FAST 583 warn is a good model. I think like $107-110 New on the bay.

welcome to the forums.

the sere is a great knife. nice heft, deep pocket clip. fit and finish thats simply amazing. id recommend that knife to anyone.
 
my list has grown.... spyderco military, in the future the 0550, emerson cqc7, spyderco endura 4, and the griptilian.
 
I'd go with the police out of those two, but I'd also look into the Military and the Benchmade 950 Rift or any number of other BM's before the other two you mentioned.
