Help with my tang

I'd just drill the 1/8" pin hole for the bolster end through the handle scales and that wonky hole they put there. Pins pretty much just keep handle scales from sliding back and forth anyway.

Sometimes a funny shaped hole in a commercial knife blade is from the tooling jig that holds the blade while being shaped in the factory. Other times it is to make pin alignment easier in a factory. Just use it as a pin hole. Any excess will be filled with the epoxy.

It’s a pin hole, factory knives have an elongated hole and a fixed hole to allow for some tolerance in production.
