Help with new Folder for EDC

So It's about time for a new EDC. I own a couple of folders I really like but, it's time for something new. Trouble is I'm left handed and very picky; also I want to spend no more that 300$

Requirements:

Blade Length = 3.75 - 4.00 (maybe 4.25 I'll get into that latter)

Handle Material = G10, Micarta, Carbon Fiber (it can have Ti on but it cannot be all Ti, no aluminum, no zytel)

Pocket Clip = Must have reversible pocket clip preferably tip up and tip down.

I like big folders but I must be able to EDC it in jeans. I don't give the impression that I'm wielding a massive weapon or that I'm extremely happy to see them. The problem is I can't handle the knives first so I was hoping you guys could help me out.

With that being said, what do you guys think of the (Small) Ontario Retribution folder
I think the design and length are perfect but, how about those handles? Any one have any experience? Pics? I'd also like to know more about the color of those handles they look a lot lighter than normal green micarta, is that just the picture?
Finally, if this knife is in fact EDCable I will ask STR to put a clip on it.

The Second knife I had in mind was ZT0300
Looks great and fits all my requirements but is it two big? The only big folder I have is a gerber applegate watever it's called and has the same blade length, again Pics would be great.

Oh and another thing, please don't recommend Spyderco's or Benchmade's not because I am not interested but because I probably already have them :D

One last exception would be the BM Rukus how EDC able is that knife?

I know my post is long but I need your help, internet research just wasn't cutting it :) . Thanks, I appreciate the help in advance

I think the Spyderco Manix meets all your requirements and last time I checked you could pick one up for a little over $100.

I like the ZT knives, but to me they also look a little big for pocket carry. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to handle one, so I'm not really of any use to you. :p

You will have to have some work done on the Ontario to get it set up for pocket carry and it will be more than just putting on a clip as the handles will have to be sanded down to take out the width of the handle front and rear. The ZT's get nothing but praise, but I've yet to pull the trigget on one. I do have and I do edc the BM Rukus 610 and I absolutely love it. It is flat enough to not print yet thick enough for a good hold. The clip allows the knife to almost disappear into your pocket with only a little tip of the back handle sticking out, although it is tip up only. I really like the Rukus for an edc.

The Retributions have absolutely massive handles. Very ergonomic, fine for a big hand, but not what you'd slip into a pocket ... well, maybe a cargo pocket :)

The Micarta is not a light green. It's a green-black combination, fairly dark.

The ZTs are also pretty big, also very ergonomic, also great construction. Might be what you're looking for. I prefer the 200 to the 300.

Don't think the clip is reversible though, not as far as i can tell.

It's tip-up only, but it is reversible.

The Manix is all business and meets destroythealter's criteria for lefty tip-up/tip-down, 3.75" blade, and G-10 scales. So does their Chinook II and Chinook III.

That Rukus looks gorgeous, too, and adds micarta to the mix while sacrificing tip-down carry.

Ontario and Fox might not be making any more Retribution folders, so maybe you should get one while you can and then add a Manix, Chinook III, or Rukus at your discretion.

I have the small Ontario Hossum Retribution and love it. However it has a very thick handle and does not appear to meet your criteria. I tied a lanyard with a monkey fist knot on the end. The lanyard goes under my belt with the knot holding the knife upright in my front pocket. This makes it easy to reach into my pocket for change or the knife. Grab the knife and one good yank frees the monkey fist knot.

I have the Mini-Rukus and it carries very discretely and comfortably. It has a thinner handle than the Retribution. Given what you want I would get the full size Rukus.:D

How about a small left handed Sebenza? I believe True North Knives has left handed Sebbies.

The ones I found was $30 over your max? Is that too much? I understand if it is.

I could take the 30$ hit however, I dont see any large lefty sebebza's with inlays for that price. Maybe I'm mistaken? Thanks for all your help TKC.

I'm very torn now between the ZT and the Rukus. I'm gonna see if I can find some pics of the Rukus, on some of the sites I've seen the micarta looks a little brown (not a good color IMO for this knife). Also is the BK coat only available for a serated Rukus?

the micarta is a olive green, looks great after rubbing it down with an oilcloth you can also get different handle inlays that retail between 50-140, see the bottom of the page for the rukus on the benchmade website, I don't know about the BK coat on the nonserated.
