Help with Pete grey LBS

I got a copper pete grey lbs for my strider a while back. I got the polished version and it came very nicely polished and shiny. It has been a few months now and the color of the copper lbs has changed drastically as you can see in the pic below. It looks very dull and kinda yellowish. Does it just need to be re-polished and if so how do I do it? Is this normal with copper, does it oxidise after a while or something?

Copper does oxidise and the acid on your hands can add to the color change. Try some copper polish on a Q-tip. Should bring it back.

just like brass, copper will tarnish fairly quickly. its only cosmetic and will not hurt anything. i have quite a few custom fixed blades with nickel silver bolsters and over time they have turned green. you either have to keep polishing it with some simichrome polish, wenol polish, neverdull, or just learn to live with it.
