Will any forum members be willing to share some good photos and info on Peter LaGana’s tomahawks produced during the Vietnam war? I have found some photos online, but would appreciate having some better images and details to understand the evolution of his tomahawk production models during the war. Please respond to me on the forum, or to my email address: hkmelton@mac.com.

Also, if anyone has contact information for Peter LaGana’s daughter, I would like to reach out to her.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Keith

I don't have any information other than a couple articles from the Internet Archive, in case you haven't seen them. The first one is an American Legion article from 1968 that has a photo of LaGana demonstrating the tomahawk, which weighed "one pound, four ounces, or less (handle included)." After demonstrating to 18 Marine officers, "the officers gave LaGana a standing ovation, and each Marine bought a tomahawk."

The second article is about Peter LaGana's daughters Yvonne and Maria:

Thanks Steve for the thoughtful and helpful response. All of the articles you provided are new to me. Peter LaGana was an amazing man... among his many talents (as I’ve learned from Dusty One) was as an author and patriot who published a book on poetry. I’ve located a copy tonight OP (Poetry Eyeryone Can Love) and ordered it. The Blade Forum also reprinted one of his stirring poems, “My Rifle and Me” in a post that started on Aptil 7, 2002. The poem should be read by every American that believes in defending the country and our values.... and by those that don’t as well... as instruction.

A few years ago we had a Lagana thread started here by one of Pete LaGana's neighbors from back in the day. The poster's uncles had some minty original hawks and he posted pictures. But they must have been on photobucket or something because the images no longer show up.

You might be able to contact the original poster and have him post the images again.

Thanks Square_peg for the suggestion... I just posted a message to Devon and hope to hear back, i appreciate the tip...
