Help with picking first Benchmade

Looking to pick up my first BM soon and need some advice. It's going to be a full size Grip and orange for sure. Torn between the H20 or the Ritter in orange. The difference in price is negligible, so which one to get? I prefer the all silver hardware and split arrow clip on the H20. If I go with the Ritter I will just buy a split arrow for it. Maybe I should just design one from the BM site. Any recommendations welcomed. Thanks in advance.
 
Go with the Ritter man, Benchmade will gladly send you a few clips (regular, split-arrow or contego) for free, just email them.
 
I think you need to chose which blade shape you like and go from there but get s30v either way.
 
The Ritter is a nice design that has been proven over the years. Do you have any special need of the rust resistance of the H20 model? That would be the only real issue that would tip the scales towards the H20.
 
I'm not sure if size is of any concern for you, but the Ritter Mini Grip in Orange has the silver hardware.
 
I've had both the H2O and Ritter and to be honest, I like the blade-shape of the Pardue over the Ritter, which is strange since I typically prefer no swedge, but the Ritter blade-shape just makes the Griptilian's blade too fat (IMO). I'd rather have S30V or D2 over either of the steels used in the H2O model (depending on how old the H2O model is), so my next Grip will most likely be a BM custom.

You can strip/stonewash the Ritter clip - I stripped mine with acetone and stonewashed with a tylenol bottle, some rocks I found outside, and some soap/water and it turned out alright:

Unless you need the rust resistance of the H2O, get the Ritter. Better steel, more functional blade shape.
 
Gonna order the orange full size Ritter tomorrow. Probably give BM a call and get a split arrow clip sometime next week. Thanks to everyone for the input.

On a somewhat unrelated note, does anyone have the M390 Contego from Knifeworks? Love me some m390 and may get one of those as well.

Yep. Love mine. Won't get rid of it until there is a M390 Rift available.
