Help with pivot pins?

I am trying to source some pivot pins somewhere other than the 'knifemaker supply' houses, to no avail. Are they possibly more well known under another name? I have the suspicion that 'pivot pin' is a name made up by knifemakers. For example, I couldn't find them under pivot-pin, or pivot-anything at mcmaster.com

Thanks in advance.

Halpern Titanium, BR johnson , Rick Hinderer, Knife and gun finnishing supplies , Texas knifemakers supplies , Koval knives and True grit abrasives all carry Pivot shafts . Look for there adds in your favorite knife magazine .

Samwereb,
I started a folder parts business a few months ago.I make all my own parts including pivots on a cnc lathe.I have a wide selection and sizes of pivots, and if you have a special style you would like me to make,I can do that to.Let me know what you have in mind and I'll get you set up with the right pivot.I've been making folders for about 10 years so I have alittle insight on folder construction.I also work in many different varieties of material, like 416ss,440c,Titanium,and a new material called Lubricium which is going to be fantastic for folder pivots.I've been testing this material for a few months now and it is showing superb qualities for a folder pivot.

You know Tom it does sound like a title from a porn movie, but I can't take credit for it,it was already named when I got it.
MikeS,
Lubricium is a superalloy that is MS60 cold forged from a large bar to a small one.MS60 is a stainless alloy that is a sister steel to Talonite.MS60 is a nonheattreatable alloy just like Talonite, but it has high lubricity properties. It takes a very high surface finish when it is machined and coupled with the hardness and slippery surface will make a pivot that will not wear, make the folder work smoother, and is nonmagnetic.I'm making pivot bushings in both MS60,and Lubricium. These are not inexpensive bushings but the advantages are great.I hope I explained what this material is.You'll hear more about it in the future.

Thanks Rick Hinderer. I am often in Wooster and I will look you up.

Mr. Onion: Thank you for the advice, but I am trying to avoid the markups charged by those "knifemaker supply" houses.
