Many thanks for the help, Flitz cleared it right up....Your help was appreciated!

Duck.

I just picked up this Strider Buck BOS ATS-34 and as you can see the blade has some rust spots on it. So, before I go hog wild with the steel wool, I wanted to ask you experts the best way to go about getting this off.

Many thanks in advance....Duck

i had some similar spots on my Kershaw, a paper towel and some metal polish took care of it and seemed to leave the finish. good luck!

Put a layer of oil on it first so that it can lift some of that oxidation before you scrub it with 0000 steel wool or similar.

It'd be better if you dismantled the knife first.

When you are done, give the blade a good coating of car wax, or any household paste wax and a give it a good buff to decrease future moisture damage.
