I'm new on here, nice website btw.

I just recently purchased A "gently used" Leatherman Wave that was canked with dirt and old beaniweenie juice on the can opener, and actually, was a bit of a rust bucket as well. I cleaned it up with rubbing alcohol and gun oil, and actually turned out looking pretty good. But I was just wondering if anyone here knew of any good compounds, or any good ways to get the rust off of those hard to reach areas, and those stubborn rust spots.

Thanks in advance, Highwaychild.

How about baking soda and a small stiff brush of some kind at first. As for other compounds hopefully others will chime in.

Baking soda is a wonderful suggestion. Use it as a thick paste made with water.
It won't hurt anything. Just make sure you have it thoroughly rinsed off with water.
Dry, and oil.
Small brass brushes similar to tooth brushes are available at hardware stores, for the more persistent corrosion.
