I have a hunting knife that says Schrader USA 152 on one side of blade and #446 on the other sids. also BC on blade. On the sheath it has the BC #446 again.
This knife has a antler handle and on the sheat it has 4 leather strings with beads and teeth of some animal.
The knife has never been used. I got this at a garage sale and is a really cool knife. I have been googling for it but no such luck.
Any ideas and info.

Welcome to the forums. I'm sure others will chime in, as it's pretty friendly here... :)

I'm guessing that was a nice aftermarket rehandle job of a Schrade 152 Sharpfinger. But, maybe the custom shop did some like that???
Those look like antler tines to me, rather than teeth....but, I've been wrong a few times in my life....at least according to my wife and kids. :D

Nice! Yes, I would agree that someone named BC reworked the 152 sharpfinger you have. It was a full tang knife and the tang was cut off, trimmed and a brass guard was put on before the tang was set in the deer antler and spacer handle. It looks like a good job of it though. And yes, those are antler tine tips on the sheath trim. Congrats on a unique find!

Welcome to our forum and thanks for showing off that cool rehandle job.

Codger and Bill have answered all your questions, and you've brought up a new mystery for us to enjoy: Did BC do other knives? Was this the 446th that he had reworked? Did he speicalize in Schrades?

I'm gonna save your excellent photo, if I may, as I can't possibly own all the cool knives I see. Could you post a photo of the 'BC' markings on the sheath and blade?
