I was wanting to replace the Torx screws in my AFCK with Standard or Philips Head screws. I was wondering if the sizes of screws in my knife are pretty standard, as in I could probably pick them up at a Hardware store, or if I would have to have them made? If I would have to have them made, is there anyone here or could possibly do this for me?

Thanks In Advance For Any Help!

The first thing you need to find out is what size and number of threads they are. The size will probably be a wire gauge number like #2. For the threads it is important that you find out how many threads are in a full inch of the screw, not how many threads are on the screws you take out since they are probably less than an inch long. Next I would either call up a fastener supply company like columbus fasteners and see if they have them in stainless. I garauntee that someone will sell them for a fraction of the cost that knife supply companies do. You can also find screws at Lowes. I bought some awhile ago for 97 cents for 8, they were #2/56. They weren't marked stainless, but they look like they are, and they haven't rusted any or changed color yet. Good luck.

Fix it right the first time, use Baling Wire !

Yep #2-56 for the small ones and #8-10 for the pivot screw. Almost any hardware store should have them.
