Love my #48 SIFU but dxxxx those finger groves are sharp. I do not have any machine to smooth the points with and I am wondering if someone could suggest how to hand smooth the handle a little. Sandpaper? steelwool? I am not that familier with best method. THANKS

Here's how I see the problem:

REKAT seems to have used something akin to a "mini router" to do the rolled-over edge on the G10. It worked well, except that at the peaks between the fingergrooves the peaks of the "routed" edges came together too sharply and the result was tiny points.

My solution was to use a fairly fine hand-file and slowly polish each tip. Actually, I used the file on my Gerber Multipliers. Going slow I was able to completely avoid scratching anything else, and there was no dust thrown up like a Dremel would have done, so I don't think there's a health issue.

I'd recommend this approach to anyone.

Ictually, I used my dremel, I did use some sandpaper to do some other work on the scales though, namely on the backstrap where there was a tiny bit of overlap over the liner. As for the particular dremel bit used, it was your "poorman's waterstone" the grey eraser doohicky..made short work of the points....and left 'em smoooooth..
