Help with SOG vs Benchmade

I've been researching the Benchmade reverse tanto Osborne (940SBK) and the Night Vision (no need for explaination, as it seems legendary here). I can find them both for around $130.
I own and love the SOG Pentagon. I've never had a Benchmade product, but have heard they are remarkable. I'm really looking for a replacement for my Junglee Sahara Jr. Not to say that it needs one. It is still performing perfectly after nearly 5 years. But I'd like a nicer tanto. I'm open to all sugestions, but I'd love it if anyone could help me decide between the Night Vision or the Osborne. Thank you!

Welcome to Bladeforums, Carl is a little bias....:D ..........I'm not at all:rolleyes: , I own both brands/models but the NV is just smoother and In my opinion it is in a class of it's own.

I have carried my NV for 3 years now and it is still perfect, smooth as silk and everyone that looks at mine ask where they can get one, sadly I have to tell them they are discontinued.

There seems to still be a few on the internet, but they too may be getting harder to come by. Just in case you have not seen these pics, here is a link to some awsome pics taken by our own BF member Socintel, (slow load).

Ok! OK! I've decided to go with the Vision. Though as I've been looking around I've found that I can get ahold of a Vision (Titanium) for just 10 dollars more than the Night Vision that I found. Any knife nuts wanna help me pick between these two?

This would be a hard pick, (I have both  )..... but for EDC, I would go with the NV g-10 handles.

They are both wonderful knives, the TI is like a fine dress watch, the NV g-10 is like an ultra sharp looking sports watch.

The TI handles will show slight scratches after a little while, the black g-10 on mine looks almost exactly as it did 3 years ago, both knives should perform the same.

You just can't beat the NV for EDC carry, it keeps it's great looks and stays sharp a long time.

That is a great deal on the TI though.

Thank you for the help! I think you've just made the decision for me. :-D Can't wait for the Night Vision to get here!
