Hey all,
I've got a few questions about my new 24.
Are the small bolt's that come with the factory scale set 3/32?
Also tell me about the sheath, I thought I read that the retention is not that good, but it is very good. Does it loosen up after time?
And do you use it for a neck knife?

Thanks in advance for the help

Can't help you about the screws, sorry.
My sheath allows the knife to rattle some, but was and is good tight hold. I don't think a plastic sheath like these will loosen up on it's own. I had to use a heat gun (on low!) to get mine to seat properly. But it has been fine since.
Neck knife? Not me. That's what my Remora is for😀

Cheers, Ed

Hey mchip, congrats on that 24, tis one of me favs.

Them bolts is 7/64 allen head.

Sheath retention? Its gonna wear as you draw and replace the knife. Plastic versus D2, D2 will win. So, it will get more loose as you go. Not to worry, there are some things in the mix that will fix that problem. Stay tuned for more later on.

As for neck carry, I don't do it. I have tried it before and I am sure I will try it again later, but it's just too damn uncomfortable for me. I either belt carry, iwb, or horizontal just past my buckle on the left for a cool ass cross draw. :D

Those that do neck carry, if you can stand it, more power to ya.

Like I said, stay tuned for some changes that will make retention on the Becker Neck Knives a thing of the past.

I just want to add...

If you do neck carry and you have any kind of dynamic activity going on, please choose a lanyard clasp system that has a low break point.
Small metal chains or the nurse ID clasps work well in this regard. No point in choking if you don't have to.

I tend to pocket carry my 14's and 24's.

When I read the title I thought you meant you had 24 questions you wanted answered.

Good point Biscuit.

Here is my youngest daughter's setup.....

Wrapped it in some hollowed out paracord for less abrasion on her neck....

I know, right? I was mentally gearing up before the let down. :D

Gearing up?!?!?! I went and got mine out of storage.......

Hows that for geared up!!!!!!

Hmmmmm. I'm very interested in your comment. That's such a tease. Anything to be announced this year, perhaps?

Needs more inner tube. :p That paracord/chain set-up is perfect. I've got at least one necker set up like that.

I've also used these kind of clasps...

Sorry for the non-Becker pics, but I really do pocket carry the 14 or 24 more often than not.

I use the paracord/chain setup on my 11.
I've always carried my 11 necker style. It rides comfortably.
Most the time I keep it under my shirt unless it's in use.
I usually don't even notice it's there.

Thanks for the input guys. I carry a RSK for a neck knife now and was wondering if anyone carried the 24 that way. Not sure if I will or not. Big difference in weight. Yes my neck lanyards are break away too. I need to go pick up a new allen wrench, didn't have one that would fit. Thanks for the size info moosez45

BTW, I'll come up with 24 questions :)

Great blade, I dont mind the sheath, but prefer leather. I use the TDI clip.

No need to be so formal, Mr. Moose is fine. After a while you can just call me Moose......

All it takes is a peek under Mr. Moose's kilt. Send your 24 questions to tradewater. He loves to get questions.

My 11 caries pretty comfortably around my neck even with the scales. Had to make a new sheath for it after I ground off the guard; chest side has a nice soft piece of leather bonded to it. I put my breakaway piece in front, where it's not rubbing my neck. I like it on my neck as it puts the opener that much closer to the beer and I don't have to fiddle with it.

I need to get some more pics of my setup.

I've heard that can cause blindness

Unparalleled retina burn is how the last physician described it.

I tried just a spring clasp on the set-up below at one point. It's a 24 in a trailbum sheath.
It does work pretty well in terms of break-away, though I don't have quite as much confidence as I do in the rigs shown above.

Yeah, it's a new concept that seems to work for several other knife companies. Basically the idea is to change the mentality of BK&T customers to not actually use their knives. Real mind-blowing stuff.
