Hello,..........I am on the MUCK (2nd run) list which will be my first ever custom knife. Does Dan wait until the list is full to begin work and how long does he take to get the knife to you once it is done? I have tried to email Dan with my ?'s with no response. Anyone with experience in Koster knives like to share/input on their experience(s)? Thanks, robo7

I have found that the best thing to do is forget you ordered it, and when you get an email from Dan asking you to complete payment, you jump for joy at your forgotten treasure, paypal, then forget about it again until it shows up at which point you will be pleasantly surprised. Dan's knives are absolutely top notch in my experience.

Not trying to be funny, obstreperous, or otherwise vague.... I am completely serious that my previous post is the best way to enjoy your Koster buying experience. Again, his knives are excellent tools at a decent price... You just have to wait for them.

bigbcustom - you are wise beyond your years. :D

It's all about timing. Sometimes it goes great. Sometimes I have to wait. A big juggling game.

A good estimate is 6 months for the MUCK

Yep, perfect response bigb! And I'm just fine with that type of experience:thumbup: I actually try to forget about my orders on purpose and then love that rush when I get the email:D

The one time it was a complete surprise was when I got an email from Dan saying my two bushcrafters were finished so I could send payment any time. I emailed Dan back saying "While I would love a couple of bushcrafters, I don't remember ordering any. Please let me know what I ordered, and how much I owe". The reply I got back was a link to a thread here referencing a post number. I looked it up, and it was almost a year old, but I had asked to be put on the list. Perfect example of aforemention buying enjoyment technique. To be honest, I used to get really annoyed by timing issues.... rubbed earlobes while chanting woosaa and got over it lmao!! Got over it anyway... don't know about the woosaa part (snort) :-).
