Can someone tell me how to make this lanyard or else point me towards a place where I can learn?

That looks like a lanyard knot. One of the members here, Stormdrane, has a blog on knots and you tube videos knot on tying that should help you.

The Paracordist is also a member here and has some tutorials and videos on knots.
